The Preflight
After arriving on our flight from Frankfurt, my fiance and I quickly ran to the gate as we had a short 45-minute layover. Luckily, there was no line for leaving the Schengen zone and we made it to the bus gate just as Economy class began boarding. All passengers were packed onto a bus and we made the five-minute journey to a remote stand.

It was a dreary day in Munich with a slight drizzle as we climbed aboard the air stairs.

Our A320neo, registration D-AINV, was a three-year-old aircraft delivered to Lufthansa in January 2020.

The Flight
Lufthansa offers a total of 180 Geven Essenza slimline seats on board their A320neos arranged in a 3-3 configuration. Business class was the European standard with a blocked middle seat.

My fiance and I were seated in the first row, 1A and C. Each seat was 17.7″ wide and offered 30″ of pitch.

Each bulkhead seat had a bifold tray table with drink holder.

In between each seat was a USB port. It appeared that these were non-operative as both USB ports in our row did not work.

At 11:03AM boarding was completed and we pushed back four minutes later. Due to the rain, there was a slight take-off delay. At 11:21AM we took off bound for the island of Cyprus.
Service began twenty minutes into the flight with a drink service and packaged nuts.

Lunch was served on this flight. Options included a paste dish or roasted beef and rice. There was a side of salmon with pickled vegetables and a berry dessert.

Small chocolates were handed out at the conclusion of lunch.

The rest of the flight was uneventful without any turbulence. We both napped for an hour until the initial descent into Cyprus.

I did use the forward lavatory during the descent. It was basic without any special amenities.

The approach to Larnaca brought us along the southern coast of Cyprus.

We landed in Larnaca at 3:00PM local time then had a quick taxi to the gate. Thanks for the ride!

Again, Lufthansa offered a very average service from Munich to Larnaca. The lack of in-seat power, inflight entertainment, and thinly padded seats was underwhelming.
