The Preflight
After arriving from Frankfurt onboard the Singapore Airlines A380, we had a roughly five-hour layover to connect onto our separate ticket with Delta Air Lines home to Indianapolis. Luckily, Singapore and Delta both operate out of Terminal 4 at JFK which meant we did not have to walk far. After clearing border patrol, we made our way back up to the departure area and checked in with Delta.
Thanks to our American Express Platinum Card, we had access to the excellent Centurion Lounge in Terminal 4. The lounge was spread over two floors with a variety of high-top chairs as well as comfortable sofas and recliner chairs.

The food options included fresh fruit, salad, yogurt, as well as cookies. Hot food included grilled chicken, pasta, roasted potatoes, and sweet potatoes. There was also a staffed bar with complimentary drinks that I did not partake in.

We made our way to the gate area 10 minutes prior to boarding at 2:20PM. Boarding began exactly at 2:30PM.

Our E175, registration N211JQ, was operated by Republic Airways for Delta Connection. She was one of 46 E175s operated by Republic Airways on behalf of Delta. Initially delivered to Shuttle Amerca in December 2008, she was transferred to Republic in January 2017 after the merger between the two companies.

The Flight
Republic Airways features a total of 12 Domestic First class seats arranged in a 1-2 configuration across four rows. The seats were in great condition with fresh padding and leather Delta branded upholstery. A small bottle of water was waiting for us at our seats.

Seats were 20 inches wide with a reported 36 inches of pitch. We were seated in 1C/D together at the bulkhead which offered a generous amount of legroom.

There was a small cocktail tray between the two seats as well as a 110V outlet and USB port for each seat.

A standard bi-fold tray table was located within the window armrest.

We finished boarding at 2:45PM and the doors were closed five minutes later. We took off at 3:11PM bound for Indy.

A beverage service was offered 15 minutes after departure. I had a Woodford Reserve with Coke Zero that was served a double.

The flight attendant then came through the cabin wit a snack basket. Options included chips, nuts, as well as granola bars.

There was a single lavatory at the front of the cabin which was fairly standard.

We landed at 5:05PM and had a quick three minutes taxi to gate A8. Thanks for the ride!

I had a routine Domestic First flight with Delta Connection operated by Republic Airways. I appreciated that we left on time and had a small snack offered on this regional flight.
